Happy Memorial Day! So I kicked off my unofficial start to Summer with a visit to Atlanta’s Botanical Garden, which is always a spectacular visual surprise. The latest exhibit in the Garden is back by popular demand; Imaginary Worlds: Once Upon A Time.
No matter how often I visit the Garden, it’s never the same place twice, there’s so much to see, this summers exhibit makes an encore appearance with thirty-one sculptures each in different plant palettes, with the addition of Alice’s Wonderland consisting of eleven different scenes; like the giant white rabbit floating inside an upside-down umbrella, and the massive chess board, bordered by the nine heart trees in the Skyline Garden; all are amazing living creations…however it would be remiss of me if I didn’t visit the serene quiet yet show-stopping beauty; The Earths Goddess-an original sculpture from the 2013 Imaginary World’s; Plants Larger Than Life exhibition. I find her magnificence mystical every time…which is probably why she holds residency in the Garden.
If you find yourself in the area, be sure to put Atlanta’s Botanical Garden on your list of places to visit for the ultimate eyegasm, the exhibit is on display through October 2019.
Like myself…because this three day weekend is the unofficial start to summer; most of you will spend much of this Memorial Day weekend in the great outdoors…firing up the grill, attending music festivals, parades, boating, beaches and gathering for the races etc…but let us not forget to “remember and reflect on the ultimate sacrifice made by those in the military that provided freedom for us all.”

Thanks for visiting…and have an awesome day!
